| Mazatlan Bird Festival / Birding Guide - Robert (Bob) J Adams |
|
Bob an avid outdoorsman, was one of the fortunate few who was able to live his boyhood dreams as he entered the workforce. After several years, with Alberta Forest Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police he began a career with the Alberta Government as a Fish & Wildlife Officer. After a career that spanned 33 years, Bob retired as the Director of Enforcement for Fish & Wildlife. A bird watcher all his life and a contributor to THE BIRDS OF ALBERTA, (Salt & Wilk) Bob is now able to spend more of his leisure time on bird watching. Since 1970 Bob has spent several weeks of each year in various parts of Mexico-Mazatlan and the Tufted Jay Preserve are his favorites. He has birded in the Preserve yearly since 1997. With the time that is left for leisure, Bob has written 10 non-fiction, short story books about life in the Canadian west primarily in the 1940's, 50's and 60's. All 10 books are Canadian National Best sellers. |
