Optics for the Tropics have kindly donated twenty pairs of Alpen 8x25 binoculars for the children’s education program which will be held the week prior to the Mazatlan Bird Festival. Over 500 primary school children will visit the Estero del Yugo Conservation Project where they will learn about bird ecology, morphology and conservation.

Thanks to Birder's Exchange (American Birding Association), our local guide at the Tufted Jay Preserve, Santos Vazquez, will receive a much needed birding scope and tripod!! They have also sent two other scopes (& tripods), a dozen compact binoculars, some full size binoculars and field guides for the children’s education program and the Mazatlan Bird Festival.
