Walter is a true pioneer in the adventure travel industry in Mexico. Born in the beautiful neighboring state of Durango, he has specialized and explored the northwestern part of Mexico extensively, and established his company, Aventura Pantera twenty years ago. Walter has traveled most of Mexico on mountain bike and observed birds in most of its latitudes. He is a photographer and writer for a number of travel magazines including Mexico Desconocido and editor of his own Boletin Durango Tursitico. Like his father who wrote the book Birds of Durango in Spanish, Walter has authored the regional “Birds of Paraiso de San Diego, Durango” /Birds of the northern Sierra Madre Occidental in Durango also in Spanish.
