Mazatlan Bird Festival / Birding Guide - Miguel Angel Guevara Medina

Miguel Angel is a biologist specializing in Ecology who has been instrumental co-ordinating the monitoring of bird species in specific areas in Sinaloa over the past 4 years, including the Tufted Jay Preserve for Pronatura Noroeste. Along with Erik Gonzalez, he has co-authored various papers including “A new breeding site for the Gull Billed Tern (Gelochelidon nilotica) in Central Sinaloa, Northwestern Mexico”. Huitzil 9 (1): 1-2.” He continued his studies with a Masters degree in Marine Ecology from the Ensenada Center of Scientific and Superior Education in Northern Baja California (CICESE). Miguel Angel has spent a lot of time carrying out mist netting field work for Pronatura Noroeste.
